Representatives from area colleges and universities join the Lackawanna County Commissioners in promoting the “Battle of the Bands,” slated for 5-7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, on the Linden Street side of Courthouse Square. Students from the University of Scranton, Marywood University, Baptist Bible College and Keystone College are participating in the competition, which features a cash prize of $600 and the opportunity to play at the “Listen Local” series in October.
