It’s the second time Paige Balitski finds herself at the helm of the annual Old Forge High School theatrical production.
Last year, students made history and tackled the Who’s “Tommy,” a rock-opera never presented on any Triboro-area stage.
This year, “Grease” is the word, and for Balitski, her second term as director has been even better than the first.
“This has been so much fun,” she said. “These kids have worked so hard and have really enjoyed the whole theater experience. I am so proud of them!”
Under her guidance, students have been practicing individually and in groups for months, working with the goal of putting on one of the best productions in the district’s history.
Some of the cast includes Earl Talarico III as “Danny;” Katie Bound as “Sandy;” Andi DeSando as “Rizzo;” and Shane Schuback as “Kenickie.”
The Old Forge High School Theater production of the musical ‘Grease’ is at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, April 25 and 26.
Tickets are $3 for students and $6 for adults and can be purchased at the door.
