Movement for 'Mommy Daddy and Me'
OLD FORGE - Romar Dance Studio, 201 Sussex St., Old Forge, is taking registrations for its 14th season of "Mommy Daddy and Me." This little gym class in movement and fitness is for boys and girls, 18 months to 3 years old. Simple coordination is introduced to students by combining fitness activities along with musical and rhythmic actions. The six-week spring session will begin on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 9:30-10 a.m. Space is limited. For more information, including cost, call the studio at 457-6576.
Taylor Historical Society
TAYLOR - The Taylor Historical Society will host a tour of the Historic Scranton Iron Furnaces on Cedar Avenue at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 24. Dominick Azzarelli will conduct a tour of the site. Dog Licenses
OLD FORGE - Dog licenses will be issued in Old Forge by a representative of the Lackawanna County Treasurer's Office from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, in council chambers, Old Forge Borough Building, 310 S. Main St.
Democrat Committee
TAYLOR - The Taylor Democrat Committee will meet at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, at the Taylor Community Center.
Guest Speaker is Jane Slusser from Organizing for America.
Camp Recertified
TAYLOR - Alliance Landfill's Camp Kestrel Habitat Workshop series has received recertification from the Wildlife Habitat Council. The council, which assesses environmental programs' relevance and ability to engage young learners, issued the camp's Corporate Lands for Learning recertification during its recent annual symposium in Baltimore.
Alliance Landfill introduced its Camp Kestrel series in February 2004 and since that time has provided more than 8,100 hours of environmental learning to nearly 3,000 campers. Programs include winter camps with wildlife lectures, live-animal presentations, birdhouse building, landfill site tours and low-litter lunches.
Alliance will present its next winter camp Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Alliance Community Center in Taylor.
Summer camps have included presentations by butterfly expert Rick Mikula, hikes across the capped area of the landfill to Alliance's Community Landscape Project test plots, and picnic lunches on the landfill. Elements of camp programs also have been presented in classrooms and workplaces across the region.

Valentine Party
TAYLOR - The Taylor Senior Citizens Association will host a Valentine Party for members from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, in the senior room at the Taylor Community Center. The price is $14 per person. Payment and reservations must be made by Wednesday, Feb. 1.
Free Dinner
TAYLOR - St. Paul's Church, 401 West Grove St., will host its second annual free Valentine's dinner at 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12. All are invited for the dinner with dessert buffet followed by games for the kids and the young at heart. Call Pastor Norm or Amy Demming at 689-5052 by Wednesday, Feb. 8 to make a reservation.
Parish Breakfast
MINOOKA - Divine Mercy Parish at the Church of St. Joseph in Minooka will host a breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, in the parish center. Featured will be cooked- to-order omelets and homemade Belgian waffles with fruit toppings.
The menu will also include homefries, sausage, bacon and homemade coffee cakes, breads and pastries. Cost is $8 for adults; $4 for children younger than 12.
Tickets will be sold after all masses, and will also be available at the door.
Winter Rummage Sale
SCRANTON - St. Joseph Melkite Greek-Catholic Church, 130 Cabrini Ave., Scranton, will hold a winter rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Banquet Planned
TAYLOR - The Riverside Touchdown Club will hold its annual banquet at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Riverside High School.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $12 for children 10 and younger. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Stacey Taroli at 840-2443 by Saturday, Jan. 28.
There will be no tickets sold at the door.
