Walk for Epilepsy

The Old Forge Athletic Association will hold registration for Jr. Devils football and cheerleading on Sunday, April 23, noon to 2 p.m. at the Old Forge High School cafeteria. Future registration days will be May 20 and June 10, noon to 2 p.m. at the Old Forge Little League Field. Applications for coaches are also being accepted.
The American Heart Association invites local workplaces, communities and individuals to help raise awareness and funds to fight heart disease and stroke, the nation’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers, by joining the 2017 Northeast PA Heart Walk. The walk be held on Saturday, April 29 at its new location, PNC Field in Moosic. On the day of the walk, registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk steps off at 10 a.m.
The Northeast PA Heart Walk is a family- and pet-friendly event that includes a non-competitive fitness walk, prizes and activities for participants of all ages. Walkers who raise a minimum of $100 receive a Heart Walk T-shirt and the opportunity to earn additional prizes based on their fundraising levels. Money raised at the Heart Walk supports the American Heart Association’s lifesaving mission to build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

The Taylor Community Library will host a relaxation workshop, to help you learn how to reduce stress through muscle relaxation techniques on Saturday, April 29, 12:30-1:30 p.m. The class will offer tips on how to de-stress from school or just a busy day. The class is for those age 12 and older; registration is required.
Dodge Ball Tournament
Holy Rosary School, 125 Stephenson St, Duryea will host a dodgeball tournament on Friday April 28, 4-11 p.m.; Saturday, April 29, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 30, 1-7 p.m. 65 teams of eight to 10 players in six age brackets will compete. Taylor Fire & Rescue, 1137 Reynolds Ave., will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast on Sunday, April 30, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $7.
‘Chicago: The Musical’
