Author Book Signing
TAYLOR - A book signing for "Taylor and Green Ridge," written by Margo L. Azzarelli, will be held from noon to 2 p.m. at the Taylor Community Library, S. Main Street, on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Veterans Day Ceremony
OLD FORGE - A Veterans Day ceremony will be held in Old Forge with the assistance of the American Legion Post 513 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4954 at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, in front of the Old Forge Borough Building.
OLD FORGE - A Veterans Mass will be held at Prince of Peace Parish in Old Forge at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11.
All are welcome and all veterans are encouraged to attend. Uniform is optional. Veterans and family to assemble at front of church in reserved section. Light refreshments will be served in the cafeteria after mass.
OLD FORGE - St. Michael's Society Halupki sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17. Cost $1 each.

TAYLOR - St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, 700 Oak St., will host its annual Turkey Bingo on Sunday, Nov. 11, in the church hall.
Doors open at noon and bingo starts at 1 p.m. Door prizes will be awarded as well as a money raffle. Food and refreshments will be available.
Admission is $3 and extra cards are $2.
OLD FORGE - St. Michael's Church Pierogie Sale, corner of Church and Winter streets, will host a pierogie sale on Tuesday, Nov. 6, from 2-5 p.m. Cost is $6 a dozen. Place orders by Wednesday, Oct. 31 by calling 457-9280 or 457-2875.
TAYLOR - The Taylor Democratic Committee will meet at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Taylor Community Center.
Election Day Lunch
MOOSIC - The Moosic United Methodist Church, 609 Main St., will host an election lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Hot dogs are $2, wimpies are $3 and sausage and peppers are $4. All sandwiches come with chips and beverage.

TAYLOR - Taylor Borough Zoning Officer Clark Robbins reminds residents that "Taylor Borough, Complaints of Violations (Section 9.510) - All complaints to the zoning officer must be made in writing and shall be filed with the zoning officer. Include your name, contact method, nature of the complaint, location of the complaint, date of the complaint. Additionally all contact information will not be release but must be supplied for updates. Anonymous reports and contact methods can not be validated."
WEST SCRANTON - The Women's Society of St. Joseph Melkite Church on North Street and Francis Cabrini Avenue, West Scranton, will sponsor its annual spaghetti dinner, Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the church hall. Pasta with meatballs and sauce, salad, bread, dessert and coffee will be served. Take outs available beginning at 4 p.m. Dinner served 5-8 p.m. Adults are $8.50 and children age 5-10 are $4.

SCRANTON - A meeting to plan the ninth annual Ukrainian New Year Dinner Dance "Malanka" will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 29, at St. Michael Ukrainian Orthodox Church, North Main Avenue and Howell Street, Scranton.
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Community's Malanka will take place on Friday, Jan. 11, at St. Vladimir Parish Center, North Seventh Avenue, Scranton.

SCRANTON - On Friday, Oct. 26 Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern PA will hold a "Protect Your Identity Fair" from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in center court of The Mall at Steamtown in Scranton. Local agencies will have information on avoiding identity theft and what to do if you become a victim.
The Attorney General's Office will also present a workshop "Avoiding ID Theft" from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. outside of the Boscov's Furniture wing on the second floor of the mall.
