AVOCA POLICE: Officers responded to more than 30 calls between March 15-25.

On March 15, officers responded to a domestic dispute at a home in the 600 block of Main Street. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to the intersection of Main and Cherry streets. Officers also issued numerous traffic citations along Main Street.

On March 16, officers were dispatched to a home on McAlpine Street to investigate a fraud complaint following a traffic stop. Officers issued several traffic citations on Main Street. Officers also responded to the 700 block of Main Street to investigate a parking complaint.

On March 17, officers were dispatched to investigate a hit-and-run accident in the 900 block of Main Street. Officers arrested a Moosic man on charges of driving under the influence (DUI) after his vehicle was located on Main Street and it was learned he was wanted in connection of leaving an accident in Moosic.

On March 18, officers were dispatched to investigate a reported burglary in the 200 block of Main Street. Police arrested an Avoca woman for possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on William Street. Officers arrested a Moosic man for displaying fraudulent registration plates and providing false information after his vehicle was involved in an accident on Main Street.

On March 19, officers assisted emergency medical services (EMS) with a call in the 200 block of Grove Street. Officers were dispatched to investigate a report of an erratic driver in the area of Main and Hawthorne streets. A report of a burglary to a vacant home sent officers to Walnut Street.

Officers were dispatched to investigate a reported domestic dispute in progress in a home on Pittston Avenue. Officers also attempted to located a wanted individual in the 500 block of Main Street.

On March 20, officers arrested a wanted man in the 800 block of Main Street. A report of a suspicious person sent officers to the 800 block of South Main Street. Officers assisted EMS with a call in a home on York Avenue. A report of a suspicious person sent officers to a home on Skytop Drive.

On March 21, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Main Street. The driver was arrested for DUI.

On March 22, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of stolen property on Wood Street. Police also issued numerous traffic citations on Main Street.

On March 23, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the 200 block of Main Street.

On March 24, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of suspicious people on Vine Street. A reported domestic dispute sent officers to a home on Vine Street. Officers assisted EMS in a home on New Street. Officers also responded to investigate a report of a burglary in a vacant home on Main Street.

On March 25, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of criminal mischief to a vehicle in the 400 block of McAlpine Street. Officers assisted EMS with a call in the 600 block of Main Street. Officers also conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Main Street. The driver was arrested on drug charges.

MOOSIC POLICE: Officers responded to more than 90 calls between March 17-23.

On March 17, officers were dispatched to assist Old Forge police with a call on Keyser Avenue. A burglary sent officers to a home on Birney Avenue.

On March 18, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious person on Joyce Street.

On March 19, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of suspicious men at the Birney Plaza on Pittston Avenue. An activated alarm sent officers to a home on O'Neil Drive.

On March 20, officers were dispatched to investigate a motor vehicle accident in the 3500 block of Birney Avenue.

On March 21, officers were dispatched to activated alarms on Alpine Drive and Birney Avenue. A fraud complaint was investigated in a home on Gardenia Drive. Officers were dispatched to investigate a nuisance complaint at the intersection of Main Street and Birney Avenue.

On March 22, officers assisted the fire department with a call in the 800 block of Eighth Street. An activated burglar alarm sent officers to a home in the 500 block of Poppy Lane. Officers responded to investigate a suspicious vehicle in the 1000 block of Water Street.

On March 23, officers were dispatched to a custody dispute in the 3600 block of Lawrence Avenue. A reported assault sent officers to a home in the 400 block of Spring Street. Officers responded to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 4200 block of Birney Avenue. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to the intersection of Birney Avenue and Church Street.
