MOOSIC POLICE: Officers responded to more than 165 calls between April 7-20.

On April 7, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle on Springbrook Avenue. An activated alarm sent officers to the 2400 block of Shoppes Boulevard.

On April 8, officers were dispatched to investigate a child custody dispute at the Hildebrant Daycare Center on Shoppes Boulevard. A report of a suspicious person sent officers to the 3500 block of Birney Avenue. Officers responded to investigate a reported domestic dispute in the 300 block of Montage Mountain Road. Officers also responded to investigate a report of a suspicious person in the 600 block of Minooka Avenue.

On April 9, officers were dispatched to investigate a harassment complaint in the 4200 block of Birney Avenue.

On April 10, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of an abandoned vehicle in the 3500 block of Birney Avenue. A motor vehicle crash sent officers to the intersection on Birney Avenue and Rte. 502.

On April 11, officers were dispatched to investigate a harassment complaint in a home in the 3300 block of Birney Avenue. A report of an intoxicated man sent officers to the 7000 block of Shoppes Boulevard. Officers were dispatched to investigate a criminal mischief complaint in the 4900 block of Birney Avenue.

On April 12, officers were dispatched to investigate an abandoned vehicle in the 4900 block of Birney Avenue. A harassment complaint sent officers to a home in the 400 block of Fourth Street.

On April 13, officers were dispatched to investigate a domestic dispute in the 400 block of Fourth Street. A report of a suspicious person sent officers to the Riverside Elementary School on School Street. Officers responded to assist emergency medical services (EMS) with a call in a home on Washington Street. A report of a fight in progress sent officers to the 4200 block of Birney Avenue.

Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 block of Spring Street. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence. A dispute between neighbors sent officers to a home in the 500 block of Park Street.

On April 14, officers were dispatched to investigate a domestic dispute in a home in on Washington Street. A harassment complaint sent officers to a home in the 500 block of Orchard Street. Officers responded to investigate a child custody dispute in the 700 block of Seventh Street. Officers were dispatched to assist EMS with a call in the 600 block of River Street.

On April 15, officers were dispatched to investigate a reported fight on Rocky Glen Road.

On April 16, officers were dispatched to investigate an activated fire alarm in the 4700 block of Birney Avenue. A report of an abandoned vehicle sent officers to the 600 block of Cotter Street. Officers were dispatched to assist Taylor police with a call at Riverside Elementary West. A harassment complaint sent officers to the 500 block of Rocky Glen Road.

On April 17, officers were dispatched to conduct a welfare check in a home in the 200 block of Main Street. A motor vehicle accident sent officers to the 3700 block of Birney Avenue.

On April 18, officers were dispatched to investigate a report of child porn in the 3300 block of Birney Avenue. A reported fight in progress sent officers to the 4200 block of Birney Avenue. Officers responded to a dispute between a landlord and a tenant in the 4100 block of Birney Avenue. A harassment complaint sent officers to the 4100 block of Birney Avenue.

Officers were dispatched to investigate a domestic dispute in the 700 block of Seventh Street.

On April 19, officers were dispatched to investigate an activated alarm in a home on Alpine Drive. A theft complaint sent officers to a home in the 4600 block of Birney Avenue. Officers responded to investigate an illegal dumping complaint in the 3500 block of Birney Avenue. A report of a suspicious person sent officers to the 4100 block of Birney Avenue.

On April 20, officers were dispatched to investigate a vehicle fire in the 600 block of Rocky Glen Road.

AVOCA POLICE: Officers responded to more than 35 calls between April 9-21.

On April 9, officers arrested a Pittston man for providing false identification to police and driving with a suspended licence following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Main Street. Officers assisted the fire department with a gas leak on York Avenue. An animal complaint sent officers to the 800 block of Main Street.

On April 10, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 block of Main Street. The driver, from Ohio, was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI). A dog bite sent officers to South Street. Two men, one from Avoca and the other from Scranton, were apprehended by police following a fight on Grove Street.

On April 11, officers were dispatched to investigate a fraud complaint in a home on Lampman Street. A harassment complaint sent officers to a home on York Avenue. Officers were sent to investigate a report of an unlawful use of a computer in a home in the 700 block of Main Street.

On April 12, officers were dispatched to investigate a criminal mischief complaint in the 500 block of South Main Street. Police attempted to serve an arrest warrant in a home on Gedding Street. Officers returned to the 200 block of Gedding Street to investigate a criminal mischief complaint.

On April 13, officers were dispatched to investigate an activated alarm in the 600 block of Main Street. Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Main Street. A Moosic man was arrested for DUI. Officers also responded to investigate a theft complaint in the 700 block of Main Street.

On April 14, officers were dispatched to investigate a theft complaint in a home on York Avenue. Officers responded to investigate a report of a disorderly person on York Avenue. Officers located the individual and cited him for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

On April 15, officers responded to investigate a trespassing complaint on Plane Street. Charges are pending against a female for drug possession stemming from the incident. Officers also issued numerous traffic citations on Main Street.

On April 16, officers were dispatched to the Kerr-McGee property to investigate a trespassing complaint.

On April 17, officers responded to assist a disabled tractor trailer at the intersection of McApline and Packer streets.

On April 18, officers were dispatched to investigate a harassment complaint on Lehigh Street. An identity theft complaint sent officers to a home on Clark Street.

On April 19, officers were dispatched to investigate an activated alarm on Cherry Street.

On April 20, officers were dispatched to William Street. Once on the scene, officers arrested a Moosic man for simple assault following a domestic dispute in a vehicle.

On April 21, officers responded to assist emergency medical services with a call in a home on Dawson Street. An animal complaint sent officers to a home on Vine Street. Officers were dispatched to a parking dispute on Grove Street. Officers also responded to a dispute between neighbors on Gedding Street.
