Riverside Jr.-Sr. High School’s drama club recently hosted the Poetry Out Loud competition.
The Poetry Out Loud (POL) national recitation contest was created by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Poetry Foundation. It is administered in partnership with the state arts agencies.
The contest encourages the nation’s youth to learn about great poetry through memorization and recitation. The program helps students master public speaking skills, build self-confidence and learn about their literary heritage.
