Due to a state Act 80 day, students in Riverside Elementary Schools will have an early dismissal on Friday, Feb. 12. East will dismiss at 11 a.m. and West will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. Also, in observance of Presidents Day, the entire district will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15.
Open House
All Saints Academy, Scranton, will host an open house on Sunday, Feb. 7, from 1-3 p.m. The open house will give families of school-age students the opportunity to learn about the opportunities a Catholic faith-based school can offer. All Saints Academy School offers classes from preK-3 through grade eight and with individualized instruction. The school also offers an after care program for students. Report Cards, Early Dismissal
Second quarter reports cards were distributed in the Old Forge School District on Wednesday, Feb. 3. Conferences will be held on Friday, Feb. 5, from 1-3:30 p.m. in the elementary and 12:30-3 p.m. in the high school. There will be an early dismissal on Feb. 5 begining at 11:20 a.m. in the elementary and 11:30 a.m. in the high school.
Night at the Races
The Holy Rosary Parent Teacher Organiztion will host a Night at the Races at 6 p.m. in the Seton Catholic auditorium on William Street in Pittston. The races begin at 7 p.m. Admission is $10; food and soft beverages are included. Horses may still be purchased; admission free with a horse purchase.
